The new season of Miss Scarlet is almost here. Yes, those with PBS Passport have been able to watch episodes early, but there’s something special about watching it with everyone else on the network, and that all starts this Sunday, Jan. 11.
The Miss Scarlet season 6 premiere airs at 8/7c on PBS. While it sees the loss of two characters, there are two new characters joining the series, and we’ll also see the return of Moses Valentine. Plus, while Patrick Nash won’t be physically present on the series, he will still make himself known, causing problems for Eliza during the season from Australia.
So, you won’t want to miss a beat. The question for many is how many episodes there are in the season, so you know when the season finale will air.
Miss Scarlet season 6 episode count
There are six episodes to the season, which matches the releases of previous seasons. The episodes will air weekly on PBS, which means we’re waiting until Feb. 15 for the season 6 finale to air. That’s plenty of time to work through each of the episodes and enjoy the fun.
Just like the previous seasons, there will be a case each week. How they come to Eliza’s knowledge is always a fun exploration. Sometimes, she gets her cases from Scotland Yard, but there are times that she stumbles upon them herself or via someone she trusts.
During Miss Scarlet season 5, things changed for Eliza when Inspector Blake took over as the inspector. He didn’t want to work with private investigators, having bad experiences in the past of them dragging the cases for more money. Eliza isn’t like that, wanting to make sure the cases are solved, and it took a season for her to prove that she was necessary.
Could Miss Scarlet season 6 be the last?
As we go through the new season, there are always concerns that we won’t get to see more. It doesn’t look like PBS is ready to end the series, but this is going to depend on the viewership for this sixth season. Both PBS Passport and PBS Masterpiece viewers will be counted for this, so don’t worry if you watched via the early access option — it shows you’re committed.
We’ll know more as the season progresses, with this being far too early to tell if it’s going to be the end. We’ll be sure to check in closer to the finale in February!
