A new episode of Outlander: Blood of My Blood is almost here. Episode 5 will get us to the halfway point of the season, and that means a lot is sure to go down.
Of course, you need to make sure you have plenty of time available to get through the episode. The last thing you want is to get to a great point and have kids walking in. Plus, this is not a show to watch with the kids around!
On top of that, you may be worried about missing out, as premium cable networks and some streamers have been removing content. There’s no need to be worried about the Outlander prequel on STARZ.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 5 on STARZ
Let’s start with the episode length. Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 5 comes in at just short of an hour. It’s 59 minutes and change, including the opening and closing credits. As with previous episodes, the time on the STARZ schedule can be a little longer to account for some of the trailers that are shown either side of episodes.
Remember that STARZ is a premium cable channel, which means there are no advertisements during the episodes. There are no traditional advertisements between shows and movies, either. You paying to watch the channel is the way that STARZ makes money, so it means you get to enjoy the episode in one sitting.
So, I’d say to have around an hour available to be able to watch Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 5 uninterrupted. The choice now is whether you wait until 8 p.m. ET/PT to watch on the STARZ channel or if you watch earlier on the STARZ app.
The Outlander prequel is going nowhere from the STARZ app
There are concerns that the content won’t be available to watch when you want to. Shows like Hightown have disappeared from the network despite being an original series, and we’ve seen the likes of HBO and Disney remove content from their apps. There’s no need to worry about STARZ removing Outlander: Blood of My Blood, so you can watch episode 5 at a time that suits you.
This series is still ongoing, so you’ll have at least until the end of season 1 to watch all the episodes. On top of that, there’s a second season confirmed and currently in production, so the show isn’t going to just disappear! Then there’s the fact that this is part of the Outlander universe, and the OG series is still on the app.
So, if you can’t watch on the app at midnight ET when it drops, don’t worry about it. If you can’t watch Friday nights on the channel, don’t worry about it. The episodes will be there when you need them.
