The time has come for another season of our favorite time traveling and universe traveling Doctor. Doctor Who season 15 premieres this weekend, and you will not want to miss a beat.
This is Ncuti Gatwa’s second season as The Doctor, and I’m certainly hoping that he sticks around for some time. He’s been an excellent addition to the series, bringing his own style but still keeping the same Doctor we’ve come to know and love.
We will see a new companion. Ruby Sunday chose to stay with her family at the end of Doctor Who season 14, and now we’ll get to see Varada Sethu back in the show as a new character. She will play Belinda, who is looking for a way home and The Doctor is more than happy to help. They’ll just need to go the long way round!
Ruby Sunday fans, don’t dismay! I know my youngest was devastated when she heard Ruby was leaving, but she will be back in this new season. We’ll also see Susan Twist return in some sort of capacity. I guess that mystery hasn’t been completely solved yet.
Doctor Who season 15 release schedule
All episodes will stream on Disney+ everywhere outside of the UK. In the UK, episodes air on BBC One on Saturday nights and on the BBC iPlayer after that. BBC iPlayer will get the episode first, with the linear airing on Saturday nights.
The first episode is available right now, with future episodes being released on Saturday on Disney+. Episodes drop at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.

Saturday, May 17: Episode 6, “The Interstellar Song Contest”
Saturday, May 24: Episode 7, “Wish World”
Saturday, May 31: Episode 8, “The Reality War”
There are only eight episodes to this season, which is in line with a lot of streaming shows and a lot of British dramas. The finale will air on Saturday, May 31, and then we’ll need to wait and see if the series will be renewed for a 16th season. There’s no word on that at the time of writing this.
