One of the great things about Call the Midwife is that we can watch it on Netflix. The first 13 seasons are available, but you’re sure to want to watch Call the Midwife season 14, which has just finished airing on PBS.
In some good news, it should arrive on Netflix. Unless the PBS/Netflix deal has come to an end — and there is no word on that — then there’s no reason to think that Call the Midwife season 14 won’t be on Netflix by the end of the year. Yes, by the end of 2025.
Call the Midwife season 14 should come to Netflix in the fall
We’re looking at September 2025 as the release date. This would match the releases of seasons 11 to 13, as each one was released in September of the respective years they aired on PBS. In fact, the seasons also aired on PBS around the same time as season 14 has, between March and May. 22, 25.
For now, you will need to turn to PBS.org or the PBS website if you want to watch the episodes for free. Per PBS, the eight episodes will be available until June 17, 2025. You’ll be able to watch on PBS Masterpiece, which is available via Amazon Channels after that.
What to expect in Call the Midwife season 14
The new season brought the 1970s to Poplar, and with this meant more racial discrimination, more vaccination discussions, and a focus on Mother and Baby Homes designed to encourage moms to give up their babies for adoption.
We also got to see a crisis for Nonnatus House, as funding looked to be taken away. Trixie returned to help solve that problem, but it’s not over just yet. It’s clear that the NHS is starting to pull away from religious sects providing healthcare.
Of course, Nancy’s story continues at the start of Call the Midwife season 14, as she gets a job offer elsewhere. There’s also an engagement on the cards, but will Roger’s mom accept Nancy and Collette?
