Can you believe we’re onto the penultimate episode of Outlander season 7 already? Here are the top takeaways from the Outlander season 7, episode 15 promo and synopsis.
There is a lot going on at the moment. We have storylines in three different timelines, although it does look like we could see two of those storylines converge very soon. Could we see everything go back to one timeline, or will Bree go to Roger for them to head back to the 20th century and take down Rob Cameron?
That part remains to be seen. Bree and Roger need to figure out their way back to each other first. That could happen in the new episode.
Here’s a look at the promo and synopsis for Outlander season 7, episode 15 before we get into the breakdown.
"The American Revolution reaches the pivotal Battle of Monmouth; Lord John Grey and Ian race to save William; Brianna makes an important decision."
Brianna has a letter for or from someone in Outlander season 7, episode 15
There’s a quick clip of Brianna holding a letter. She’s sat at the desk at Lallybroch as she holds onto the letter, a place we usually see Roger sitting. It makes sense for Bree to sit here as she tries to figure out what she wants to do about Roger.
She needs to get back to him with the kids. The problem is she doesn’t know exactly where Roger is. She also doesn’t know if Roger has worked out that Jemmy isn’t in the past. So, who is this letter for or from? Could it be something from Roger from the past, or could she be leaving something in case Roger ends up coming back to an empty home?
Roger is worried about the butterfly effect
We will get to see more of Roger and Buck in the new episode. They were skipped over in the previous one, but then, they did get a huge episode in episode 13! Now we head back to where they are, and it’s clear that Roger has time travel rules on his mind.
What if they changed something they shouldn’t have? This could have a direct impact on Roger’s own future and his life with Bree, but it could also mean it’s a whole new world they are going back to. Roger is the only character who makes sense when it comes to time travel. I’m so surprised nobody else has ever been concerned about how changes in the past could affect the future.
Jamie heads off to battle
I loved watching Jamie drill his men. He knows how to create soldiers for a battle. We get to see him do things that he did before Culloden with his rag-tag group of men then. Now it’s time to put the drills to the test. Outlander season 7, episode 15 will see a battle.
It’s the Battle of Monmouth. This was a big one in American history, but it’s also going to be huge for Claire and Jamie. Get ready for your heart to be in your mouth.
Lord John Grey and Young Ian get to the Hessian soldiers
We left William with the Hessian soldiers. Lord John Grey had found out that it was a trap, and so Young Ian ended up taking him as a “prisoner” to the Hessians. This is the best way in for John to get to William and get him free.
We get to see that happens in the promo for the episode. The Hessian are there as Young Ian approaches with Lord John Grey. John fires a pistol at someone, so it's clear something is going to go down.
There’s danger at the medical tent
We know that Claire will be there to perform surgeries and save soldiers during the Battle of Monmouth. That’s the place she knows in war. We also know that Denny will be there. So, it’s clear from the promo as Denny rushes away with Rachel and Claire states “I won’t leave them there to die” that they’re having to flee wherever the medical area is.
Trouble is coming to the medical tent. Everyone will need to make a choice, and for Claire, it’s all about those who need her. She took an oath to do no harm and to save lives. That’s what she will do as much as possible!
