We have just one episode of Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 to go, and just as I suspected, there’s a break in the schedule. We’ll need to wait a little longer to see how the first season comes to an end.
I said before at ClaireandJamie.com, when looking at the schedule for the season, that we’d probably have a week off in the programming. This is a standard STARZ thing, especially when it comes to the biggest shows.
It’s annoying that it happens, but it’s happened with every single season of Outlander (bar the first season, but that had a different type of break), and it’s sure to keep on happening. This is the way to get just a little more of a subscription out of people!

That means there isn’t going to be an episode of the STARZ series on Friday, Oct. 3. Sadly, we will need to wait an extra week, with the episode airing on Friday, Oct. 10.
In some good news, it gives us time to catch up on the whole season again. This is a chance to delve deeper into each episode and pick out any clues that could tell us what could happen in the finale. It is also a good time to look back on Outlander’s first two seasons, which highlight more of the story of Ellen and Brian, while also giving us a look at what Simon Fraser becomes.

What to expect in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 finale
The ninth hour of the season brought us to a depressing end for Ellen MacKenzie. She had to break Brian’s heart so that he would allow her to do what she believed was right for the two of them. She gave Colum her word to cut things off in return for his life being saved, and that’s what she has gone through with.
Little does she know that Brian has found himself with assassins after him. Fortunately, Murtagh was there to help pull him away from one of the arrows, making it clear that if anyone was going to kill Brian, it would be him. However, now there are questions about who would want Brian dead.
As for Julia and Henry, they didn’t get much time together, but they got enough. Julia was able to give Henry hope that they could be together, and this shouldn’t be false hope. Now Julia just has to find a way to escape Castle Leathers with her husband, and then they can maybe get through the stones.
