Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly brings in more drama. I do wonder if it is foreshadowing for Walter Woodcock to eventually show back up. In the TV series, Walter was shown to die onscreen, but his fate is unknown in the books. With Mercy moving on to to Henry Grey, I can’t help but wonder if there will be some drama there.

However, the chapter itself is focused on getting Ian and Emily together. We need that closure.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I doubt the chapter will be used in the TV series. I just don’t see the Hardman storyline being used at all, and there’s no real need for it. It gives us a great look at how different unions can be dissolved and started, but it doesn’t add to the overall storyline.

The only part that I could see being used is Ian telling Rachel that Brant is arranging a meeting with Emily. After all, if this part of the story is going to be used, we need to see Ian and Emily see each other again.
