Well, it turned out that it was a hint at a time jump. The start of For All Mankind Season 2 brought us a string of news clips to catch us up on some of the events. We saw some other moments change, including John Lennon escaping death, Pope John Paul II being assassinated, and more.
What year is For All Mankind Season 2 set in?
The main story of the season opens in 1983, shortly after the post-credit scene in the first season. We quickly get caught up on where many of the characters are, along with a look at where things are on the moon. Of course, there is also talk of a mission to Mars.
Naturally, there are plenty of disasters. After all, space exploration is dangerous. We still know it is now, and some of the things that we know to happen now weren’t fully understood in 1983.
