Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

It’s the ending where I see a hint of foreshadowing. I can’t remember some of the details of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, but I do think this is a good connection to Claire. If Locke is the county coroner, that could mean he and Claire connect over dead bodies and medical treatments.

Otherwise, the chapter is more about Jamie building an alliance with someone. That’s needed for the overall plot.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

We know that Jamie forms alliances when and where he can. This chapter is one of those moments, but is it all that important for the TV series? This is where I’m on the fence. We don’t need to see him develop an alliance with someone who may not be overly important later on. There’s only so much that will fit into Outlander Season 8.

If it is going to be used, I think it will be more in passing to Claire. Jamie can talk about Locke and whether he’s too far away or not.
