Outlander: Blood of My Blood is not coming to STARZ in November 2023
Outlander fans are certainly ready for the prequel series about Jamie’s parents. When will Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiere on STARZ?
While Outlander is starting to come to an end, the universe as a whole isn’t. STARZ has greenlit the prequel series, which will tell us the story of Jamie’s parents. We’ve heard a little of their story from Jamie over the seasons of the main series, but it’s time to see what actually happened.
This prequel series is a novel that Diana Gabaldon is also working on. Book 10 seems to have taken over, but there are times that she’ll post snippets of the prequel story. It likely won’t be ready before the first season of the prequel series, though.
That does depend on when work on the prequel series can start. It isn’t too surprising to hear that Outlander: Blood of My Blood is not coming out in November 2023, but will it arrive in 2024?
When will Outlander: Blood of My Blood come to STARZ?
There isn’t a release date just yet. That’s not too surprising considering work hasn’t really gotten started on the show just yet. This was one of those shows caught up in the WGA strike.
The good news is that like Outlander, it isn’t a SAG-AFTRA show. That means it won’t be stuck in the current strike action. It’s unlikely that the team will stand in solidarity fully, although we have seen actors step back in the promotion of Outlander due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
It’s unlikely that we’ll get the show in 2024. We’re probably looking more at 2025 for this one. Maybe even 2026. That could depend on STARZ’s plans when it comes to keeping subscribers on its service once Outlander does come to an end.
