We have one more season of The Crown still to come. Will The Crown Season 6 come to Netflix this year, or will we have to wait until 2024?

There is one more season to the story of Queen Elizabeth II and her family on Netflix. At one point, Season 5 was going to be the last, but then the original plan of six seasons returned. Now all eyes are on when this sixth season will arrive.

The season is set to follow events in the 1990s and early 2000s. This will include the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, who was involved in a horrific accident in Paris. The death rocked the nation, and it led to a lot of hatred being thrown at the Royal Family due to the way Diana was treated.

We’ll also get to see William and Kate meeting while they attended St. Andrews University in Scotland. Will we get to their wedding? That part isn’t clear, but we should get to see some of the events that happened behind closed doors as Kate Middleton waited for her prince to decide if he wanted (or could?) be with her or not.

We don’t expect the Queen’s death to be written into the series. However, there should be a tribute at the very end.

When will The Crown Season 6 premiere on Netflix?

There still isn’t a premiere date, but we do expect it before the end of 2023. Filming of the series came to an end in April 2023, and there will be time for post-production work before the end of the year.

The series has a habit of releasing seasons in November or December of each year. There’s usually a year between the two blocks of seasons, so we’re expecting November 2023 for The Crown Season 6.

This is not a show that would have been affected by the SAG-AFTRA strikes. The UK production is run under the Equity union, which is why post-production could keep going on throughout the strike action.
