Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There are a couple of foreshadowing moments in this chapter. The first is all about Oggy’s name. The two aren’t settled on a name yet, and I think that’s for a reason. There is another storyline to come up. It’s going to be a chance for Emily to give Oggy a name, a name that means a lot to everyone without her even realizing it.

There’s also a foreshadowing of William. Jamie jokes with Bree that he hopes that William comes to terms with the truth before Jamie dies, but I think the end of the chapter makes it clear that William has come to terms with things when it comes to Jamie. It’s not like Jamie had much of a choice.

We also get the foreshadowing of another moment of danger. William will turn to Jamie again when it comes to something that only Jamie can help with.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I would love to see this big family dinner. Whether we’ll see it or not is another thing. It could be difficult to have so many people in a small space on set. We could see a lot of these conversations take place in other chapters to help save some time. Rather than a dinner, we could see Jamie and Bree talk while we see them hunting, and we could see the discussion of baby names done combined with another moment for Rachel and Young Ian.

There are only going to be 10 episodes in Outlander Season 8. That’s not a lot of time for moments like this.
