3 best Young Ian moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8
Young Ian shared his feelings for Rachel in a couple of ways in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8. Here are his three best moments from the episode.
Young Ian has come a long way over the last couple of seasons. This season alone saw a lot of personal growth as he shared more about why he won’t allow himself to love someone else. He was scared that he wouldn’t be able to give a woman a child, and he couldn’t bring someone into a marriage fearing that.
Well, now he’s found out that he can have children. It’s time for him to look at moving forward with his life. That’s certainly something he does in this episode. Here are his three best moments in the order that they happened.
Young Ian’s best moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8
Kissing Rachel
Young Ian takes Rachel the items Denny needs from Claire. That gives the two of them a chance to talk. There is certainly chemistry, and Young Ian takes advantage of it by kissing her.
He makes it clear that he loves her. Does she love him? He thinks so, but he is more focused on how he feels. If she touches him, he won’t be able to control himself.
It’s important to take yourself out of the 21st-century way of life in this moment. I would hate for someone to say this now, but in his time, Young Ian is acting in the way of men. Rachel is also acting in the way of women. It’s also clear that she’s not all that angry and upset with the words Ian says. She’s actually more concerned for herself with the way she feels for him.
Fighting in the Second Battle of Saratoga
It’s been clear that Young Ian learned a lot while living with the Mohawk. One of those is how to be a warrior in battle, and that’s what he does in this episode. We see him jump in where he is needed, saving people before they’re shot by those fighting on the side of the British.
We see all these quieter moments for Young Ian. I just love seeing him in battle and the fighting style that he has developed. Yes, he is a Highlander at heart, but he can’t forget the Mohawk, who shaped him into the man that he is now.
Missing Rollo
When Jamie got the chance to head to Scotland, he took it. Not only was it a way to honor Simon Fraser’s wish, but it was a way to get his family out of the war. Young Ian just had to find a provision for Rollo, and that was with Rachel.
On the boat, Young Ian came to see Claire and Jamie. He immediately said “I miss my dog,” and it just shows how close Rollo and Young Ian are. They are more than dog and master. They are loyal companions.
