Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I still can’t remember what happens with that man at the Trading Post. I can’t remember if Claire says something or if Ian figures it out. I’m sure that Jamie finds out about it in some way, though. It does feel like this chapter is foreshadowing that happening.

However, the rest of the chapter is more lighthearted. It’s simply about Ian and Rachel enjoying their time together.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I don’t expect the chapter to be used. I don’t see the Trading Post chapter to be used in the TV series, so I don’t think this next one will be, either. There’s just nothing really to add to the overall story.

I would love to see Ian and Rachel young and in love, though. Maybe that part could be fitted into the story in some way. I wouldn’t complain about that. We need to see the connections between the characters, especially when we’re meant to believe that the characters are in love with each other.
