Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is some plot development here in that everyone seems to be headed to Savannah. These characters can’t avoid each other, can they?

In the foreshadowing element, John is right to be suspicious. There is a lot stacked up against Amaranthus. Not that she is Ben’s widow, but that she isn’t struggling for money in the way that she previously insisted that she was. Also, how does she know Ben is already dead when John and Dottie were on the way to tell her? Get ready for Amaranthus to come back up, and for us to learn more about what actually happened to Ben.

Remember that it was Captain Richardson who told the Greys about Ben.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I’m in two minds about whether the chapter will be used, and not because of the letters. I think if the chapters are used, we’ll see John and Dottie searching for Amaranthus and not have the letters. However, I’m in two minds about whether the Ben storyline will be used or not. Will there be enough time for it?

If Outlander Season 8 wasn’t confirmed as the last and only 10 episodes, I would say that we’d see it. It’s just that there is no so little time to finish off the story. Some storylines will need to be cut out, and this may be one of them.

However, Captain Richardson is sure to be the big bad for the end. That would suggest that some of this needs to play out for the Go Tell the Bees storyline.
