From the start, we fell in love with Rollo. He may be part wolf, but his doggy side certainly shines through. This is a loyal friend to Ian, the only companion Ian had for some of his life in the colonies.

While he wasn’t in the trailer for the season, he is in an episode still for it. We can see Claire, Roger, Bree, Lizzie, Ian and Rollo on the porch of the Big House. Rollo is certainly being a good boy, although it looks like he’s breaking the fourth wall a little with that longing gaze.
Will he end up being in the battle? Rollo is not Ghost from Game of Thrones. There’s no reason for Ian to risk him in battle, but we may see him at other points when it comes to Ticonderoga. After all, he may win over the heart of a certain Quaker woman Ian has eyes for. Yes, we’re talking about Rachel Hunter.
Book fans will be getting ready for a bittersweet storyline for Rollo. Remember dogs don’t live as long as humans. That’s all we’ll say just to make sure everyone is prepared for what may come before Outlander comes to an end.
