Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter but there is a lot of plot development. We’re seeing the strands of where Buck’s story is going. Of course he’s remaining connected to Geillis. And of course he wants to meet Dougal.

I guess there is a little foreshadowing in the healing work. Roger will want to hold onto this information to share with Claire if he ever sees her again. Well, we know he will, but he doesn’t know this at the time.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I expect to see at least the Geillis and Buck part to be included in the TV series. We may even see it happen instead of just being told about it.

What I’m not sure about is Hector McEwan’s part of the chapter. I would love to see Roger meet another time traveler and have some work done to heal his throat. I want to see more of the healing light as it will become something connected to Claire in the future. I also want to see Roger’s work as a minister as he attempts to save souls as he goes.
