Men in Kilts Season 2 is not coming to STARZ in June 2023
As much as we would love to see Men in Kilts Season 2, we just knew it wouldn’t happen yet. When could the season premiere on STARZ?
We are certainly ready to see Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish on their journey across New Zealand. We know the series has been filmed, and now we’re just waiting for a premiere date.
Even without the announcement or trailer, we just knew that June was not going to be a time for Men in Kilts Season 2. We can also pretty much rule out July and maybe August. Outlander Season 7 premieres on June 16, and there is no way that STARZ would want to bring two Sam Heughan shows out at the same time.
When could Men in Kilts Season 2 come to STARZ?
We are looking at 2023 being the year for the season, and not just because of that video that highlighted the series that was quickly deleted. There’s also the fact that the second Clanlands book is coming out in November 2023. Wouldn’t it make sense to bring the show and the book out at the same time?
That’s not the way things worked with the first book and season. The book was released in November 2020 while the series didn’t arrive until February 2021. We’re hoping that’s not something that will happen here. We’re ready to see the show already!
November 2023 would be a good point in the calendar. We know Outlander Season 7 will be split in two. The first half of the season is set to end in August 2023 and the second half of the season will premiere sometime in 2024. This could be as early as February 2024 (the same six month break as Season 1). So, putting Men in Kilts Season 2 at the halfway point of that break would be a great Droughtlander treat.
