Outlander Season 7 is not coming to STARZ in May 2023

We would love to see the next part of the love story between Claire and Jamie Fraser. We still have to wait for Outlander Season 7 on STARZ.

Can you believe it’s been almost a year since Outlander Season 6 came to an end on STARZ? May 1 marks the year for the finale, and we’ve waited patiently for the next season since then. The good news is that filming was happening as the finale aired, so we haven’t had as long of a wait for it as we had for Season 6.

The bad news is the wait is still on. We looked out for a miracle, but Outlander Season 7 is definitely not on the list of STARZ releases in May 2023. The wait isn’t much longer, though!

When will Outlander Season 7 come to STARZ?

The premiere is happening very soon. Outlander Season 7 will premiere in June. Yes, June 2023!

We found out that the series is changing nights again. While the first season aired on Saturdays, the second season moved to Sundays and that’s where the show has remained until now. STARZ is moving Outlander to Fridays, which is likely strategic to give Friday night programming on the network a push. This will allow STARZ to bring more original programming.

This is a split season. We’ll get eight episodes starting in June, which likely means an end of August midseason finale date. The remaining eight episodes will arrive sometime in 2024. A release date hasn’t been set just yet, but there is hope that we’ll get it in early 2024. That likely means Outlander Season 8 will arrive in 2025. Three years straight of new episodes!

There have been some promos and teases of what’s to come in the new season. The latest images of Claire and Jamie certainly suggest one of the big battles in the books is coming up in the next eight episodes.

Outlander Season 7 premieres on Friday, June 16 on STARZ.
