Men in Kilts Season 2 is not coming to STARZ in April 2023

We are all ready for the second leg of Graham McTavish and Sam Heughan’s tour. When will Men in Kilts Season 2 come to STARZ?

We’ve been waiting for a premiere date for Men in Kilts Season 2 for a long time. The bad news is we STILL don’t have one. All we know at the moment is that the show won’t arrive in April 2023.

This is terrible news for those ready to see the next leg of the road trip. Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are taking us around New Zealand, which has a lot of connections to Scotland and Scottish heritage.

So, how long will we need to wait for the season? What is STARZ’s holdup on this?

When could Men in Kilts Season 2 coming to STARZ?

It is possible that the holdup is mostly due to trying to work it into the schedule. It’s a 30-minute comedy, so it needs to be paired well with something. However, we do see other 30-minute comedies are on their own now and then.

STARZ has focused a lot on Outlander Season 7 promotion, and we know that that show will premiere in June 2023. This could allow for a May premiere date for Men in Kilts. It could run for six weeks (as there are six episodes to this season) and then run straight into Outlander Season 7. The fact that there has been no promotion for it so far does tend to rule out a May premiere.

However, it is possible that the network is looking to add it to the post-Season 7A Droughtlander. We know that Season 7 is going to be split in two with Season 7B premiering sometime in 2024. Having Sam and Graham on our screens in between the two halves of the season would work well. It’s just such a long wait for this season!
