We know Outlander Season 7 will premiere some time in the summer of 2023. Could that mean a premiere as early as June 2023?

All STARZ has told us about Outlander Season 7 is that we’ll get it at some point in summer 2023. That gives us a three-month period when we could see the series.

“Summer” isn’t really classed as a set time period in the world of TV. If you’re like me, you follow the yearly calendar, with summer starting in the middle of June. However, there are some television networks that have decided the beginning of June is the start of summer.

With a show like Outlander, it would make more sense for STARZ to follow the yearly calendar. After all, it is part of the show’s (and the books’) lore. Is it possible that we’ll get the seventh season premiere at the start of the summer?

Could Outlander Season 7 premiere on the Summer Solstice?

The Summer Solstice is a major date in the Outlander calender. It’s when the stones are open, and we’ve seen a few characters pass through the portals this time of the year, including Roger the first time.

We probably won’t see the seventh season premiere on the Summer Solstice exactly. It’s a Wednesday, and there’s no need for STARZ to change from a Sunday timetable. So, that means we could see the show either side of the Solstice. Sunday, June 25 would make a great date.

And this could be possible depending on the STARZ calendar for other shows. The full season has wrapped production now, so the second half of it is going through post-production. We know production on the first half of the season wrapped during 2022, which could mean that the first half of the season could arrive in the early summer.

It all depends on whether STARZ wants to run all 16 episodes back to back or split the season in two. I still think that we’ll see a split season based on how we don’t tend to see more than eight to 10 episodes without at least a one-week break. I do feel like we’ll get something more like Season 1 in terms of the split season.
