Will the house fire happen in Outlander Season 7?
Bree came to the past because of the threat of a house fire. Will that house fire happen in Outlander Season 7? Does it happen in the books?
In Outlander Season 4, Brianna traveled through the stones after learning that her parents would die in a house fire. She didn’t have the exact date, but she knew the month and the decade. Of course, this is slightly different to the books, but that part doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that it was the obituary that made Bree travel through the stones and risk everything for her parents.
The house fire hasn’t happened yet. It supposed to be at the Big House, and right now Claire and Jamie aren’t there. Is there a chance that the past has been changed to prevent the fire, or will it happen in Outlander Season 7?
Does the house fire happen in Outlander Season 7?
In the books, the house fire does eventually happen. It’s a different month to the one in the obituary, and we find out that the month is changed by the printer. This is a printer more concerned with not changing the font on his page than being accurate in the date. There’s nobody around to be bothered about the date, or so he thinks.
In the series, the date has been smudged. It could happen at any point now, although it’s unlikely to happen while Claire and Jamie are away from Fraser’s Ridge.
The teaser trailer for Outlander Season 7 does suggest the fire is going to happen. There is a point where Claire and others are grabbing pales of water to throw on what look to be flames. It would make sense for this to be the fire at the Big House. The good news is that Claire is out, at the very least.
It makes sense for the series to include the fire. It is a huge part of the books, and there is an aftermath from the fire involving the gold, which was teased during Season 6. I expect there to be the fire at the Big House in Season 7.
