We’re all looking for when Droughtlander will come to an end. The Outlander Season 7 premiere will come to STARZ in 2023. Here’s what we know so far.
All eyes are on when Droughtlander will end. It’s been a long one, although nowhere near the longest! That doesn’t make it any easier. The good news is there’s a small light at the end of the tunnel.
Maril Davis had previously said Outlander Season 7 would arrive late 2022 or early 2023. We didn’t expect it in 2022 at all, but we had hoped the early 2023 timeframe was right. Sadly, it’s not. That doesn’t mean we won’t get new episodes this year.
Outlander Season 7 will premiere summer 2023
At the moment, we have a season for the series. We’ll get to see the seventh season premiere in the summer of 2023. There is a teaser trailer out just now, which gives us a look at the aftermath of Season 6 and other events to come from the end of A Breath of Snow and Ashes and some of An Echo in the Bone.
We don’t have a clearer date for the premiere. Summer could mean anything from the end of June to the end of September if we’re following the equinoxes and solstices. It would be cool to have the show premiere around the summer solstice considering how the pagan calendar is important in the world of Outlander. STARZ will want to keep the series on Sundays, so we could be looking at June 24 as the closest date to the summer solstice.
There are 16 episodes to the season, and I’m still expecting to see the season split in two. That just makes sense for the way STARZ releases content and the fact that the show isn’t set to finish production until February or March of this year. At least we know Outlander Season 7 will arrive in 2023.
