Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There is some foreshadowing for Jamie’s storyline in this chapter. It’s clear that he does understand why Claire did what she did. While he is jealous, he isn’t mad at Claire for making her decisions. He can even accept that she was thinking of Jamie the whole time.

It’s John who he is mad at, and not just for sleeping with his wife. Jamie is filled with shame, and this is going to affect John and Jamie’s relationship moving forward.

The rest of it is plot development. There’s still more to come from this.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I expect to see everything with Jamie used in the TV series. It only makes sense. We need to see him deal with the anger, the jealousy, and the shame. We need to se that he understands Claire’s actions and that it’s John he’s angry at.

I’m not too sure about John’s storyline. It is important for John, but is it important enough overall? That’s something I’m curious about, as it will affect whether it needs to be used in the TV series or not. I want to see it used as a Lord John Grey fan, but that doesn’t mean it will.
