Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. It really just opens up the story, reminding us of a few things that happened at the end of An Echo in the Bone, and getting us ready for what’s to come as Ian learns the truth about Jamie and Jenny.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I want to see this chapter adapted for a couple of reasons. The first is for more character development for Young Ian. We’ve had a little in the previous seasons, but he gets a bigger role in this book, and I want to see him get more screen time on the series.

I also want to see the way he prays. We get this mixture of Mohawk and Gaelic prayers, showing us that he is clearly a mix of the two. I know in Outlander Season 6 he came to terms with that, and now I want to see him show that through his actions.

My worry is that there won’t be enough time. The show doesn’t really jump from character to character within an episode. We seem to get one episode dedicated to specific characters, which could mean this part is skipped over.
