Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t too much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. This is more about plot development. We’re moving forward to when Ian will die and Jenny needs to make a decision over what to do with her life next. That’s something this whole chapter leads up to.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I want to see this chapter used in the TV series. I think it will be, especially with a new actress taking over as Jenny Murray. It’s important to see this side of Jenny as she deals with the fear and grief.

Something that I want to see is how Ian deals with all this. There is so much focus on Jenny in this chapter as we see it through Jamie’s eyes. I want to see it from outside of them all and see how Steven Cree plays the role as he sees what his death is doing to Jenny. There’s nothing he can do to stop it, and there was this glimpse of hope that’s turned into nothing.
