Claire finally tells the Murrays the truth in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 80

Claire needs to explain how she knows what will happen in France in the future. There’s only one way to do that in Outlander Book 7, Chapter 80.

We get to meet Michael Murray in this chapter. Claire is the first one to see him, and immediately realizes what he has lost. There’s a sense of connection between the two of them, even though Michael doesn’t know Claire at all. I just love this bond.

When the family turns up and Michael explains he’s going to France, Claire realizes that she needs to tell everyone about what’s to come. The Revolution is going to happen, and there’s no way to stop it. How can she explain what she knows, though? It’s time for the truth to come out.

I think this chapter offers a bit of foreshadowing in things to come. There’s also some plot development of what’s to come.

I expect to see this chapter used in the TV series. I’ll get to why I think that is going to happen in the adaptation section.
