Just like 2021, there’s a surprise guest at Sasnak City: The Gathering 2022. Everything was revealed at the opening ceremony.
It’s Sasnak City: The Gathering 2022 weekend! That means a lot of Outlander fun for fans. While meeting the guests is a big part of it, seeing fellow Sasnak Sisters and Brothers is also a big part of the reason we all want to go.
In 2021, we got a surprise guest. It turned out that it was David Berry. Well, Gina Phipps-Hubbell, the woman behind the Sasnak City events, decided to do it again this year. We have a surprise guest at Sasnak City: The Gathering 2022.
Those who spotted the guest on their travels were able to email the event and get autographs with the star. However, they were not to share the news with anyone else. The surprise didn’t leak, but we did get to know at the opening ceremony.

The surprise guest was Richard Rankin. Nobody guessed this one!
He certainly got a warm welcome, as you’ll see from the video below. Alexander Vlahos shared how he has a pair of Richard’s shoes and he was going to share the surprise guest was “Richard Rankin…’s shoes.” He didn’t get to do that, though.

Richard plays Roger MacKenzie in Outlander, not that he needs any introduction. We’re interested in seeing who the duo and family photos are going to be with now.
