Who was the surprise guest at Sasnak City The Gathering 2021?

We knew we’d learn the identity of the surprise guest at Sasnak City 2021 during the first Friday panel. Who stepped out on stage?

We all had our guesses and suspicions. There were all sorts of great suggestions, too. After all, the Outlander series is full of excellent actors that we’d love to meet one day.

While attendees were able to get their tickets and start shopping at the vendors on Thursday, the convention didn’t fully kick off until Friday, Nov. 19. It was during the first panel at 4 p.m. CT that we learned the identity of the surprise guest.

Fans were certainly not disappointed by the reveal. David Berry stepped out on stage at Sasnak City 2021.

Yes, it was a surprise! It was also an amazing surprise. We know that David Berry is an awesome guest at conventions, and he has been at Sasnak City in the past.

The question for Berry was always whether he’d be able to get out of Australia. There are currently some tougher restrictions getting in and out of Australia due to the pandemic. While there are options for work, would Berry opt for this when his family is back home? It turns out that he would!

It looks like he’s enjoying some downtime during COVID-19. Look at how long his hair is right now!

The convention goes on throughout the weekend. If you’re there, we’re looking forward to seeing all the photos shared. Sadly, due to passport delays, I couldn’t make it this year, but I’ll be there next year to see everyone!
