Is A Court of Thorns and Roses going to be a TV series?

Back in 2021, we learned Ron D. Moore had another project on the go. He would be involved in the A Court of Thorns and Roses TV series. Is this still happening?

It was in February 2021 that we got the exciting news. Of course, a lot of focus was on Droughtlander at the time. We knew that we would have a long wait for Outlander Season 6, so we were looking at anything that would help us get through Droughtlander.

Sadly, this wasn’t a show that would do that. We did hope it would get us through the next one, though. Well, we’re into that Droughtlander, and we’re still looking out for signs of Ron D. Moore’s next project. Has A Court of Thorns and Roses TV series been scrapped?

Is A Court of Thorns and Roses on Hulu still happening?

We don’t have terrible news. There are no signs that the series has been completely scrapped. This is something Sarah J. Maas would alert us to if it happened. After all, she’s been waiting a long time for her books to be adapted, and she’s directly involved in the adaptation.

The bad news is we have no information about the show just yet. Nobody has mentioned where in the production process the series is. All we know is that it seems to still be happening, but it just hasn’t gained a cast or anything like that just yet.

Is this a bad sign? It can take years for some shows to end up in the production phase. Just look at The Lord of the Rings TV series on Prime Video. That took five years from the announcement to the release on Amazon. COVID didn’t help, but production was heavily delayed at times.

Until someone says otherwise, we can assume the TV series is still in the works. We’ll keep an eye on what Moore and Maas are doing.
