Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This is a short chapter, but it’s filled with foreshadowing. I get the sense that this big moment of leaving things behind is a sign that Claire and Jamie won’t get back to the Ridge any time soon. They will have a big journey on their hands, and it’s going to lead to the two of them separated for some time.

In fact, Claire believes she has lost her home completely at one point. She thinks Jamie is dead, and that’s worse for her than leaving anything and anyone else behind.

I think there’s also foreshadowing in that they’re not the only ones who will have to say goodbye. When they get to Lallybroch, Jenny faces heartache. Ian doesn’t survive and Jenny decides to leave Scotland for the Colonies with Claire and Jamie. She will have to go through all this, too.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I do hope to see this chapter adapted. It doesn’t have to be long, but I want to see Claire crying over leaving Adso behind. We’ve seen how much Claire loves Adso.

However, I get it if this isn’t included in Outlander Season 7. For one, we don’t even know if we’ll get the storylines of Claire and Jamie going to Scotland—although I have to question what there is for them with that storyline.
