Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The foreshadowing here is in what Ian will do in the next chapter. He offers his life to Arch. After all, an eye for an eye and a life for a life. We know that Arch won’t take Ian’s life right now, but that doesn’t mean he won’t come back for it later.

Other than that, I think it’s mostly a quiet moment between Claire and Jamie. We know Jamie is going to survive the bullet, and it’s time for them to decide what to do next. I guess with Ian’s reaction to killing Murdina, there is foreshadowing of Claire and Jamie wondering if Scotland is the better place for Ian now.

Adapting An Echo in the Bone chapter

I do hope to see some of this chapter developed in Outlander Season 7. I hope to see Ian killing Murdina kept in, so that we get to see his grief. This is an important part of character development for the character. Yes, we’ve seen the part where he chooses to be both Mohawk and Highlander, but we also need to see him handle the regret and loss of someone close to him.
