Outlander Season 7 is not coming in August 2022
We didn’t expect it, but we still look out for miracles. Sadly, we’re not going to see Outlander Season 7 premiere in August 2022.
As much as we would love to share a positive surprise, we continue with what we already knew. Outlander Season 7 is not going to premiere next month on STARZ. That’s really not surprising when you consider the fact that filming is still ongoing.
It’s not clear just how long Droughtlander is going to be this time. However, we have had some news about the upcoming season, including just how long filming is expected to take.
When will Outlander Season 7 premiere on STARZ?
Previous reports shared that Outlander Season 7 would premiere in late 2022 or early 2023. It’s now looking more like early 2023, but there are some debates over this.
Sam Heughan recently shared that filming would continue until February or March next year. How is it possible that we’ll get the season when filming is still happening? It is possible that the season is going to be split in two to allow for this. Filming and post-production on the second half of the season can continue in 2023 while the first eight episodes of the season begin.
This would be something similar to the first season. We saw the first eight episodes beginning August 2014, and then the second half of the season aired in April 2015. It was a great way to bring us the show and keep the initial Droughtlander to a minimum.
There has been some casting news for the season. Not only do we know who will play Adult William, but we have also met the Hunters. Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips will play Rachel and Denzell Hunter. This gives us a hint that the Rachel and Young Ian storyline is going to play out, but we’ll have to see how far the show gets with the book storyline when the season premieres.
Outlander is available to stream on STARZ. Stay tuned for the latest updates about Outlander Season 7.
