Joey Phillips is joining Outlander Season 7 as Denzell Hunter. Who is the actor, and where have you seen him before? Here’s what we know.

At first, Joey Phillips joining Outlander Season 7 was just a rumor. Someone who looked like him was spotted filming in Glasgow. Well, it turns out the rumors were right. Phillips is joining the series, and he will play Denzell Hunter.

Of course, we have a bit of a wait for Outlander Season 7. That means we want to watch shows that the new cast members have been involved in. What about Joey Phillips? What can you watch with the new cast member?

Who is Joey Phillips from Outlander?

The actor has a small list of projects on IMDb. In fact, there is a 10-year gap between his most recent two releases, which is going to be concerning for some fans of the series. Why would there be such a long break? It’s worth noting that Phillips is a stage actor as well as a film and TV actor, and those performances aren’t included in IMDb.

There are a few standout projects on the list. Phillips has had a guest role in a few daytime soaps, including Holby City and Doctors. His return to TV in 2021 was in an episode of the Saturday night medical series Casualty.

In 2010, he was in one episode of Accused. This was an anthology series, so only being in one episode wasn’t that surprising. He starred in “Helen’s Story” as Rob Ryland. The series saw a number of well-known stars over the two seasons including The Umbrella Academy‘s Rob Sheehan, Nanny McPhee‘s Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Sharpe‘s Sean Bean, and Doctor Who‘s Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi.
