Is Joey Phillips joining Outlander Season 7?

Casting rumors for various characters in Outlander Season 7 have started. One of them is Joey Phillips potentially joining the series.

Droughtlander while filming means one thing. We keep an eye out for any potential filming of the series and any new actors joining the show. There are a few characters we need to see pop up in Outlander Season 7 to tell An Echo in the Bone fully. One of those characters in Denzell Hunter.

It looks like Denzell is showing up. Survived the Shows reports that someone looking very much like Joey Phillips has been spotted in Glasgow filming something, and it’s possible that he is going to play Denzell Hunter. Well, it turns out that the rumors were right.

Is Joey Phillips in Outlander Season 7?

Outlander took to social media to share that Joey Phillips is indeed playing Denzell Hunter. This casting announcement may have been made purely due to all the rumors after the leaked shots from filming. It is interesting timing for the announcement.

Phillips does look a little like the way Denzell is described, so the casting is pretty good. He’s also been spotted with Izzy Meikle-Small, who is playing Rachel Hunter.

There was no way that Denzell could be avoided in the series. He is connected to William Ransom, and we know that Adult William is showing up in Outlander Season 7. His casting was already announced, and we’re excited to see what’s to come there. Denzell also has a connection to Claire considering he is a surgeon, and it will be good to see her interact with someone else with medical knowledge.
