Is For All Mankind renewed for Season 4?

Outlander fans love to support the cast and crew in other projects. For All Mankind is one of them, and it’s currently getting toward the end of the third season. Is there going to be a fourth season of the Ron D. Moore series?

There is one big reason to support For All Mankind: Ron D. Moore. The former Outlander showrunner has managed to bring us a sci-fi series from his heart, and it is certainly something for Droughtlander.

The series initially started with the race to the moon. What if the Soviets got there first? What would that have meant for NASA? It’s something Moore explores throughout the series, and since then, there have been time jumps to show what could have been had NASA remained up and running in full.

The third season picks up with a mission to colonize Mars, and there is a private space company involved. It’s certainly been an awesome journey, but as we get to the end, we want to know if there will be more to the story.

For All Mankind isn’t renewed for Season 4 yet

As of writing this, Apple TV+ has not renewed For All Mankind for a fourth season. It also hasn’t cancelled the series just yet.

Update: Since publishing, For All Mankind has been renewed for a fourth season. It is not yet slated as the final season.

We are expecting a renewal. Apple TV+ has been good at giving shows the final season orders, and the shows have been able to end on the showrunners’ terms. Servant and See are just two examples of this. We’re expecting our alternate history space race series to get the same treatment.

It could mean that Season 4 is picked up as the final season. We could also see it renewed and then later confirmed as being the final season.

There are suggestions that the series was already quietly renewed. The Writer’s Guild of America website notes that there is going to be a fourth season of the series. Fans will notice that Moore isn’t classed as the showrunner and may have doubts. He has stepped down into an executive producer role for the third season with Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert now co-showrunners. The two names are down as co-showrunners for the fourth season, too.

We’ll have to wait and see what the plans are. We’re certainly hoping For All Mankind is renewed for a fourth season.
