If you’re looking for something different to get through Droughtlander, look no further than Why Women Kill. It’s full of devious women.

Women kill for all sorts of reasons. We’ve see that all play out in Outlander. In the TV series, we’ve watched Brianna kill Bonnet, Marsali kill Lionel Brown, and Claire kill or help to kill a few people including Colum and Dougal MacKenzie.

What about other women throughout history? While the world has adapted over the centuries, the sting of betrayal still hurts the same. And it’s time to watch Why Women Kill to see why some women will do the deed. It’s perfect for Droughtlander.

What is Why Women Kill about?

The series is an anthology series. In the first season, we follow three women in three time periods. They all live in the same house throughout the years, and they all have their own secrets. The house has seen a lot of blood, but it’s nothing like Murder House in American Horror Story.

The stories of the women are actually quite touching. It’s easy to see how they can end up thrown over the edge, whether it’s due to affairs, secrets, money, or more.

In the second season, we remain set in the 1940s. We mostly follow Alma, who would love nothing more than to be a part of the local gardening club. She wants to be just like Rita, but we also get to find out that Rita isn’t everything she claims to be.

Why watch Why Women Kill during Droughtlander

What makes this such a great option while waiting for new episodes of Outlander? It’s all about the storylines. There are stories of love and betrayal throughout. There are stories of women doing what they feel they need to do to get ahead or to survive.

The anthology element to it is also great. If you think the second season sounds more entertaining to get a feel of the storyline, jump straight into it. You don’t need to know anything in the first season to appreciate this one.

Something I love about the show is that even the main women we follow aren’t always likable. They have their flaws, and that’s what makes them feel all the more human to watch.
