Is Izzy Meikle-Small joining Outlander Season 7?

Outlander Season 7 may have found its Rachel Hunter. Rumors are that Izzy Meikle-Small is joining the series. Could these rumors be true?

There are a few important characters in An Echo in the Bone that need to show up in Outlander Season 7. Rachel Hunter is certainly one of them. With the character development we’ve seen Ian go through, we need to see that story continue and Rachel is a part of that.

Rumor has it that she has been cast. Survived the Shows shared a report that Izzy Meikle-Small is joining the series in the role. Well, it turns out that the theory was right. Outlander made the announcement shortly after to say that Izzy Meikle-Small is joining the series.

Could Izzy Meikle-Small play Rachel in Outlander Season 7?

The rumors started after Meikle-Small was spotted filming in Glasgow. She was also filming with Joey Phillips (or someone who looked a lot like him) and rumor has it that he’ll play Denzell Hunter. The two are connected to William Ransom, who has officially been cast, so it is all plausible.

Meikle-Small certainly looks like the Rachel I pictured from An Echo in the Bone. I am certainly not complaining about this casting. The only question is the material of the dress being worn in the leaked photos. It is possible that the quality of the photos were just poor quality so it wasn’t too easy to see the material, but Rachel wears basic homespun materials and not silks like it looks like the character is wearing during filming.

Rachel is important. There was no way the show can avoid casting her, but it does make sense that the show tried to keep the casting under wraps. After all, fans already flock to the public areas to see any glimpse of Outlander Season 7 filming. It could be even harder to film with people knowing they need to look out for Meikle-Small playing one of the characters.
