Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
This chapter is mostly about plot development. It’s clear that Claire is needed to impersonate Mrs. Martin for a reason, and we’ll get to find that out soon.
However, there is a bit of foreshadowing in there in that Claire thinks of Fergus and Marsali. She’s not the only one who will turn to Fergus and Marsali for help, but it could lead to trouble for the two of them.
Adapting A Breath of Snow and Ashes chapter
The chapter hasn’t yet been adapted. We left Claire in the Wilmington jail in Outlander Season 6. There is a chance that this chapter could be used in Outlander Season 7.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it is. After all, it’s part of the story for Claire while she’s facing trial for murder. She is going to look for a chance to escape to get to Jamie, and we needed to see her get that opportunity through her connection to the governor. I could see the last few chapters being combined for maybe 20 minutes of the story or something like that.
