The First Lady Season 1 is almost at an end. Is this a limited series, or will we get to see more stories of these powerful women?

There are a lot of powerful and successful women in history. Many of them tend to be in the shadows of the men around them, and that can seem the case for the First Ladies of the United States.

Over the years, we’ve paid attention to the wives of the U.S. Presidents. Most of them have used their position as a time to do something good for the American people, and that’s something The First Lady showcases.

The first season is almost at an end. We’re seeing how Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford, and Michelle Obama ended their tenures in the prestigious position. Will this be the end of the series, though?

The First Lady Season 2 could happen at Showtime

As of right now, Showtime has neither canceled or renewed The First Lady. This isn’t a bad thing. It just means Showtime is looking at how the series does as a whole before renewing it. This happens a lot, even with the premium cable shows. In fact, especially with the premium cable shows.

One thing to note is that the show wasn’t billed as limited series. That’s often the case with a show that’s like this, as there is a clear beginning, middle, and end to the story. Instead, it was billed as an anthology series.

Billing it as an anthology series opens up the show to an easy renewal. The series can move on to other First Ladies, and as Outlander fans, we think Martha Washington would make a great choice as one of the women to showcase. There are plenty of women who have done good things while in office, so it’s not like there’s a lack of material to run. Now we just wait for the renewal.

The First Lady is available to stream on Showtime.
