Happy World Outlander Day!
June 1 marks the anniversary of the first Outlander book being released. It’s also the date that we usually get some great news about the series. 2022 is no different.
While we’re still not getting any news about Outlander Season 7, we are getting news about the Season 6 DVD release date. Sam Heughan shared the date the DVD, Blu-ray, and Collector’s Edition would all be released.
When is Outlander Season 6 coming to DVD and Blu-ray?
There isn’t too much longer left to wait to own all eight episodes on DVD and Blu-ray. The full season will come out on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
This matches our expectations for the DVD release date. It fits with the timeline of previous DVD release dates following the season finales.
There aren’t any details about what will be included on all the different versions. The Collector’s Edition usually includes some bonus footage, such as an excerpt from the upcoming novel, so we may get something for Book 10. All versions usually include some bonus features like the deleted scenes, and we’re hoping for more Untold stories.
You can pre-order the DVD, Blu-ray, and Collector’s Edition right now on Amazon. This is a great way to land the Price Guarantee, so you only pay the lowest cost up to the release date regardless of the price you agree on now.
Is the season coming to Digital?
There will be a Digital release, but that hasn’t been confirmed just yet. All we know at the moment is when the physical discs will come out. However, we’re expecting the Digital on the same date as the DVD and Blu-ray release date. That was the case last season.
Outlander Season 6 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
