When is Outlander Season 6 coming to DVD and Blu-ray?
We know that Outlander Season 6 is going to head to DVD and Blu-ray. There will also likely be a Collector’s Edition. When will the releases happen?
One thing we do know is that Outlander Season 6 will head to DVD and Blu-ray. This is going to be great news for those who don’t want to keep their STARZ subscription going indefinitely just to be able to watch their favorite series.
Now eyes are on when the releases will happen. How long are we going to have to wait to be able to own all the episodes and the bonus features? Sony hasn’t announced the release date just yet, but we can get a rough idea.
Outlander Season 6 DVD and Blu-ray release date predictions
It took previous seasons about four or five months to go from the finale to the DVD release. The fourth and fifth seasons both took four months, so we’re probably looking at something similar for the sixth season.
If that is the case, we’re looking at sometime around the end of August or start of September. The finale aired on Sunday, May 1, so we’re looking at either Tuesday, Aug. 30 or Tuesday, Sept. 6. We’re going to say the latter of those two dates for now.
There will be different formats again. In previous seasons, we’ve seen Sony release the DVD, Blu-ray, and Collector’s Edition. Each of them had some different bonus features or additions, and the cost goes up for each one.
When it comes to bonus features, we’re not sure what to expect. The past two seasons have included Outlander Untold snippets, which offer more insight into some of the smaller characters. There is a chance the show had time to film these before stopping production. We certainly hope so, as it’s so much fun getting to know Lizzie, the Beardsleys, Young Ian, and others more. This could be a chance to give us time to know the Christies more.
