We know Outlander Season 7 is happening, but what exactly do we know about it? Here’s everything we know about the season so far.

As we get into another Droughtlander, there’s no doubt everyone wants to know how long it’s going to be. That leads to us looking for all signs of when Outlander Season 7 could premiere.

As of right now, we don’t have a lot of information. The good news is this post can be updated as the information arrives. Right now, production is underway, and we’re sure to get a few more details as we get closer to the end of 2022.

What do we know so far? Here’s everything to pay attention to.

Outlander Season 7 premiere date

It’s not surprising that we don’t have a premiere date just yet. We’d previously heard that the season would arrive in late 2022 or early 2023. This is looking more like 2023 at this point as filming seemed to get started a little later than initially planned in early 2022.

There is a chance the season will be split in two. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on any plans for that as we get closer to the time.

If the early 2023 release date is right, we’re looking at confirmation sometime close to the end of this year.

Outlander Season 7 cast

We know that the main cast is returning. That includes Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin. There are eyes on some of the other actors, but there are some we’re sure to see come back. These include:

  • John Bell
  • Caitlin O’Ryan
  • Paul Gorman
  • Mark Lewis Jones
  • Alexander Vlahos

We’re also hoping to see David Berry, Lauren Lyle, and Cesar Domboy make returns, even if it’s just for an episode or two here and there.

There was a major announcement recently. Outlander has found its Adult William. Charles Vandervart is joining the cast in the role.

Outlander Season 7 synopsis

The first four episodes of the season will continue the storyline set in the sixth season. After all, those episodes were originally intended to be part of the Season 6 until the pandemic and Caitriona Balfe’s pregnancy caused problems for filming.

Instead the episodes were added onto Season 7 to make it 16 episodes long. We’ll get to pick up with Jamie racing across North Carolina to get to Claire before she’s hanged for crime she didn’t commit.

After that, we’ll move onto the storylines in An Echo in the Bone. This involves some time spent in Scotland, and we know filming has returned to Lallybroch. Is that for a storyline set in the past or are people traveling back to their own time?

Outlander Season 7 trailer

There isn’t a trailer out just yet. We’re expecting something a little closer to the release date. We may get a sneak peek of the premiere when there’s an announcement of the premiere date or a tease of whether it will arrive in 2023 or not.
