When does Outlander return with new episodes?

We’re into Droughtlander. We know Outlander Season 7 is happening, but that doesn’t mean we’re happy about the wait. How long is this wait going to be?

Here we are, in another Droughtlander. These are long and hard. We’re no stranger to them. The previous one was the longest we’ve ever had, but that was linked to the pandemic. Hopefully, this next one isn’t going to be as long.

Outlander Season 7 is happening. Production is already underway, and there shouldn’t be a need for filming to be put on hold. Pregnancies and pandemics be damned—okay, not quite, but you get what I mean.

Now our eyes are on when this Droughtlander is going to end. When will Outlander return with new episodes?

Outlander Season 7 is likely coming in 2023

We’re probably not going to see the series return in 2022. There was originally a comment that the season could arrive sometime in late 2022 or early 2023, but that was when filming was set to start in January 2022. It looks like filming didn’t start for a couple of months after that, so that would push the premiere back a little.

So, we’re looking at 2023 at the earliest. It could be early 2023. What I do think is going to happen is the season will be split in two parts, similar to the first season. This will allow everyone to keep this Droughtlander short, and even help with the next Droughtlander. It will also give STARZ and Sony time to discuss Season 8 and see if it is a go. If it does happen, that next Droughtlander could also be kept to a minimum.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any sort of news about the premiere date for Season 7. We’re not expecting anything concrete until later this year.
