Will Lord John Grey return in Outlander Season 7?
We know Outlander Season 7 is happening, and we know it’s based on An Echo in the Bone. Which characters will return? Will Lord John Grey be back?
While we are into another Droughtlander, the end of it is much closer in sight than the last one ever was. Filming has already started, and our eyes are certainly on returning characters. One character we would love to see return is Lord John Grey.
John came back for one episode of Outlander Season 6. However, it turns out that David Berry filmed two episodes. It sounds like one of those episodes was one of the last episodes of the season that was cut due to the pandemic and Caitriona Balfe’s pregnancy. It could be added into Season 7, but there is no guarantee of that.
John and Jamie left things in a negative way. Jamie has now told John that he is switching sides. He will fight for the Patriots, which is something John is disappointed about. It’s the end of a friendship for now, but is that the way it will remain, and does this mean that John won’t be back?
Lord John Grey should return for Outlander Season 7
There is a storyline for John in An Echo in the Bone. Of course, we’re not sure how much of the storyline that involves John can be told.
Laura Donnelly has made it clear she’s not all that interested in returning as Jenny. This could affect the upcoming storyline, which sees Jenny move to the Colonies. On the way over, the ship she and Jamie are meant to be on sinks and everyone believes that they have both perished at sea.
This leads to Claire being arrested because Jamie isn’t there to protect her. Lord John Grey steps in and marries Claire. Of course, Jamie isn’t dead, and this does cause problems for John and Jamie’s friendship.
We also have Adult William show up and he has a direct connection to Lord John Grey. We know Adult William is showing up, which suggests we’ll get to see Lord John Grey back.
