Outlander Season 6 is not coming to Netflix in May 2022

Outlander Season 6 has stuck heavily to the books, which is something many fans appreciate. Sure, there are some storylines that weren’t in the books, and book-first fans have been very vocal about their dislike for one in particular, but for the most part, this is a season that is close to the original story.
If you don’t have STARZ, you’ll be waiting for the season to be available on Netflix U.S. There is some bad news about this, and that’s that the season will not be on Netflix in the U.S. in May 2022.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. We know that Outlander Season 5 is coming to Netflix U.S. in May 2022. There’s no way STARZ would have the two most recent seasons drop on another streaming platform at the same time.
When will Outlander Season 6 come to Netflix?
How long do we need to wait for the arrival? It’s a long one. We’re looking at a two-year wait.
We’d had the suspicions that Outlander Season 5 would arrive on Netflix on May 10, marking two years from the finale date on STARZ. This would match the release of the third and fourth seasons on Netflix. Sure enough, May 10 is the date for all 12 episodes of the season.
That means we’re expecting Season 6 to arrive in May 2024. It would be May 1, 2024 considering the finale is set to air on STARZ on May 1 this year.
There is something to consider, and that’s that contracts can change. There’s no guarantee that STARZ will keep the contract in place with Netflix. It would seem strange not to have it considering the extra fans the Netflix release brought in. However, the show could end up being too expensive for Netflix to consider or STARZ may decide that it’s time to keep everything exclusive to its own streamer in the future.
