Outlander Daily Lines: A snippet from the Outlander prequel
Diana Gabaldon shared a snippet from the Outlander prequel novel for her Easter Daily Lines. It wasn’t meant to be the snippet released.
We know that Diana Gabaldon has a prequel story in the works. She is working on Outlander Book 10 as the main project for now, but there are times that snippets for the prequel novel will come up and she writes them. That means there are little bits of the story focused on Brian and Ellen Fraser.
That does mean focusing on some of the characters we’ve only heard about in passing in the books before. The Daily Lines for Easter delve into the death of a character we’ve only heard of before, but it’s not clear exactly where the snippet takes place in the books. With hope, this isn’t the first and only time we get to see this particular character show up.
Outlander prequel novel Daily Lines
The Daily Lines tend to be teases of small scenes from the books. We get snippets to see how characters interact, and the snippets don’t usually include major spoilers. I guess, though, while this snippet released can feel like a spoiler, that’s not really the case. After all, we knew this character had to die at some point considering he’s not around in the main series.
Take a look at the Daily Lines below:
It’s Jacob MacKenzie’s death. We knew this would happen since we meet Colum MacKenzie as the laird. We didn’t expect to see Ned seeing a deceased Jacob as a Daily Lines post, though.
Well, it turns out that this was posted by accident. On Facebook, the Book 10 Daily Lines was posted, and that was supposed to be shared on Twitter. Mistakes happen, and it feels like a little extra Easter present by this one happening.
