We’re certainly ready to see what’s to come for the people of the Ridge. Things aren’t looking great, though. Sickness is spreading, and it’s a sickness that Claire can do little about. That isn’t just because Claire comes down with it.

The sickness is dysentery. The disease is caused by bacteria, and it’s extremely dangerous. There’s also little that can be done for it, except for antibiotics. Claire has penicillin, but does she have enough to help?

Maybe she would have, but she can’t get out to people. She’s succumbed to it, too. At least, that’s what it looks like.

What is Malva up to in Outlander Season 6, Episode 6?

It’s clear that young Malva is up to something nefarious. The last we saw her, she was cutting off the fingers of a dead man. Were those fingers just for a love charm, or is she going to be up to something else?

As Claire suffers from her high fever, she’s going to see things that may have her questioning Jamie’s faithfulness. It certainly looks like he’s turning to Malva for comfort, but we know Jamie. He wouldn’t have an affair, which means either Claire is seeing things or she’s just not seeing what’s really happening clearly. However, just because Jamie would be faithful doesn’t mean that Malva wouldn’t try to catch him for herself.
