Ed Speleers joins You Season 4 as a series regular

Just as we get a reminder of Stephen Bonnet in Outlander, we get some exciting casting news for You Season 4. Ed Speleers is joining the series.

We love to support the Outlander cast in other projects. This includes the characters we come to hate. Stephen Bonnet is certainly a character to hate, but Ed Speleers is an actor to love. We’re excited with the latest news that comes straight from a Netflix press release.

Speleers will join the cast of You Season 4 as a series regular. This means he’s getting a fairly big role, although we know from previous seasons of the series that it doesn’t mean he’s going to survive the entire season.

Who will Ed Speleers play on You Season 4?

Joe Goldberg has left the United States. He initially headed to France, but it looks like he’s then going to find his way to London, England. The series has moved to London for production, and now there’s a very heavy UK cast joining production.

Speleers is part of the cast, and he will join the series as Rhys. Rhys is described as an author who has gained acclaim and pressure after his memoir. He was originally born into poverty but he came into money, headed to Oxford, and turned his life around. Now he works through all the right social circles, and there’s a push for him to launch his political career.

He hasn’t forgotten about the friends from his past. Could this cause some problems for him with Joe around? We all know that Joe likes to uncover secrets of those he considers a threat.

We’ll certainly get to see a different side to Speleers as he plays this character. There doesn’t seem to be anything of Stephen Bonnet in the character, but that doesn’t mean Rhys is a good guy.
