It’s the only way to keep his home and land for his family. Lord John Grey isn’t going to be happy considering he will remain a Loyalist, but there’s nothing Jamie can do to change history.

They’ve tried changing history before. Jamie and Claire tried with Culloden, and then the family tried again at Alamance. It’s clear that these big moments need to happen, and America needs to become America.

Party at River Run in Outlander Season 6, Episode 5

Meanwhile, a Scottish heroine arrives at River Run. There’s a barbecue for Flora MacDonald, and of course, Jamie and Claire are invited. Which side will Flora find herself on when it comes to the tensions considering a lot of the Jacobites are now on the Crown’s side.

Back at the Ridge, there is something personal to deal with. Amy has feelings for Roger, and Brianna is worried about how things look when Roger spends so much time over there. He will need to figure out how to deal with that. The last thing they need is for the Ridge gossiping about Roger being an adulterer when he’s not.
